About Adelaide 36ers
The Adelaide 36ers, also known as the Sixers, are an Australian professional men's basketball team in the National Basketball League (NBL). The 36ers are the only team in the league representing the state of South Australia and are based in the state capital, Adelaide. The club was originally called the Adelaide City Eagles when they joined the NBL in 1982, but changed their name to the 36ers the following year. The 36ers nickname comes from the fact that the Colony of South Australia was officially proclaimed on 28 December 1836. They will play their home games at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Problem
The National Basketball League changed the recording and transmission of game statistics during live games, the exisiting solution was not compatiable with old signage solution. The Adelaide 36ers contacted LaunchPADS to handle the problem. The advertising screen on the perimeter screen was also required to be able to be programmed to work with the main cube screen.
Solution
LaunchPADS worked with the software creator of the statistics program to create a custom feed to gain access to all live on court statistics. This feed then is brought into PADS4 live and various screens have been created for Adelaide 36ers and the visitor team statistics. LaunchPADS also provided a custom control centre that allows all production aspects of the games can be controlled instantly. The perimeter advertising screen also is controlled by this, and can be adjusted in real time.
LaunchPADS provided services for the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 Seasons.
