Flinders University engaged LaunchPADS partner Pro AV Solutions for the design and fit out of their new Trading room in the Law and Commerce building. The purpose of this space was to provide students with a simulated financial trading centre to develop real-world skills. 

The cutting-edge market simulation was designed and developed to enable students to access time-series data on security prices and exchange rates so they are able to simulate and execute trades in real time.

Pro AV Solutions contacted LaunchPADS to assist in getting a ASX 200 stock ticker feed onto an 18M long custom LED screen. This feed would also need to highlight stocks that were postive and negative from the feed.

LaunchPADS deployed PADS4 on a single PC to cover the entire 18m span for the LED Screen. Using a custom resolution PADS4 was able to create a canvas that was in native resolution for the custom LED. PADS4 was then able to pull the ASX200 data from its source, and convert it into a ticker format. Rules were aplied to the data to change the colour of each element depending if it was higher or lower.
