About Roma Street Station - Cross River Rail Project

Roma Street will become Queensland’s most significant transport interchange and Brisbane’s ‘Grand Central’, connecting passengers with the existing suburban bus and rail networks, as well as regional and interstate bus and train services.

Problem

Client had to combine 12 different bus lines to a single Passenger Information display, that would show in real time departures, along with a web interface for all bus lines.

Solution

LaunchPADS created a custom web interface that allowed bus lines to log in and program routes for each bus, this is then fed into the screens at bus station to produce a PIDS screen that notifies what bus line and platform that they are leaving from. Specific rules have been programed that activate when time for departure is close and a change has been made.
